English Mist
Hello to my friends in Japan who browsed CanalCam and said how it reminded them how beautiful England is with its mist.
I'm very pleased to encourage people's thoughts of England's beauty, but sadly CanalCam has become a bit damaged after pointing outdoors into the sunlight for a few years, and the mist is actually just the effect of a worn out camera!!!

I'm a regular reader of your wonderful blog and especially love many of your amazing photos....thought it was about time I posted a comment! I live in Seattle USA, relocated from the South of England earlier this year. Being a huge fan of the waterways, narrow boating and canal photography, I'm missing this very much, so love to be part of it all again by reading your site! Many thanks, Jo
Ah! That answers a question I was going to email you about...namely "What is wrong with Canalcam?"!
I have been a long time viewer of Canalcam and having just arrived back home from a longish holiday in the UK, I thought I would drop in and see what the cam was 'up to' (so to speak). We are big fans of the whole canal scene and on a previous visit hired a Narrowboat for a 'short break'. This visit we managed to ride the Anderton Boat Lift as well as crossing the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. Sorry, didn't make it to Huddersfield! We are already planning our next visit in 2008 when my wife and I along with my sister and brother-in-law will be hiring a Narrowboat for a week or possibly 2.
Oops...forgot...Regars Kim, Cairns, Queensland, Australia
Thanks for getting in touch.
CanalCam has taken a "knock" from a guest staying in that room.
As soon as I get a chance I'll point it back in the right direction!
